Louisiana Waterfowl Alliance Invites all Waterfowlers to Meeting, April 6
The Louisiana Waterfowl Alliance (LWA) will hold its next general meeting on Saturday, April 6th in Lafayette, LA. The meeting will be held at the Dupre Center, 1212 Pont Des Mouton Road beginning at 4PM.
Guest speakers for the event will be representatives of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries who will inform the group about this past year's duck and goose hunting season. These presenters will also give perspectives of ways to increase hunter success for future sessions.
In addition, a presentation on the proposed increased percentage of ethanol in gasoline and the effects of that possible change on duck and goose populations and the environment, and the economic impact of increased ethanol percentages on marine motors, ATV's, gasoline-powered generators, and auto mileage will be given by Alton "Pete" Landry of Laplace, LA.
The LWA will also conduct its annual election of officers and board of directors for the coming year. Information on upcoming events and projects will also be provided during the evening.
LWA members, those interested in becoming a member and members of the public are invited to attend. A meal will be served to all in attendance.
