RESTORE Council Public Meetings in New Orleans, September 19; Morgan City, September 22

September 19, 2016 8:00 AM
The Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (Council) released a draft update to its 2013 Comprehensive Plan on August 23, 2016. The Council began holding public meetings to discuss the updated plan along the Gulf Coast. Comments on the plan will be accepted thru October 7, 2016.

The following two meetings will be held in Louisiana. We urge you to attend these meetings and show your support for coastal restoration projects and let your voice be heard. The Council is responsible for distributing nearly $3 billion in coastal restoration funds to the five Gulf Coast states. Large-scale projects are essential for sustainability of the Gulf Coast. It’s vital that the people living and working in Louisiana make their voices heard to decision makers regarding restoration activities.
