Code of Conduct LWF Conservation Leadership Corps Code of Conduct Agreement You must read and sign by June 30, 2025 The Edgar Veillon Conservation Leadership Corps (CLC) aims to provide students with the tools necessary to become effective leaders of conservation. Louisiana Wildlife Federation (LWF) is committed to providing students, staff and presenters with a professional working environment. To that end, participants of the CLC program must agree to the following code of conduct: Attendance is mandatory. Your attendance to all sessions is important for you to fully benefit from this experience. Consumption of illicit substances or alcohol will not be tolerated during any CLC event. Please practice proper Zoom etiquette. Respect presenters’ and fellow participants’ time and attention by limiting use of cell phones to breaks and lunch. Keep yourself on mute until you are ready to speak. Please keep your cameras on so that everyone can see who they’re talking to. Your full attention and engagement is expected. Students will periodically break into groups on Zoom. ALL students are expected to actively participate. Please use this opportunity to your full advantage! Email will be a primary means of communication. GroupMe will be used too. Students are expected to check their emails regularly and stay in touch with fellow students, mentors, and the coordinator as necessary. Maintain a professional environment by showing courtesy and respect to fellow students, staff, and presenters. Respect the diversity of opinions among participants and respond to them in a courteous manner. Be kind. This group is a private meeting just as it would be in person. Please try to join from a location where you have privacy. No visitors will be allowed to sit in on these sessions. Note: We do realize if anyone has pets or children that some surprise visits can happen but try to keep any background distractions to a minimum as best as you can. When you are joining from home for sessions, please be mindful of having a professional attitude and treating this just as you would an in-person meeting. This means getting dressed (casual, but professional – no graphic tees or pajamas), sitting upright in your chair (no lying down on the couch), etc. Any issues that may arise should be brought to the attention of the coordinator ASAP.
