Louisiana Wildlife Federation (LWF) is pleased to announce the 57th Annual Conservation Achievement Awards Banquet. The awards program seeks to recognize those individuals, organizations, and businesses that have made a significant and outstanding contribution toward the protection and wise use of Louisiana’s natural resources
in the previous year. The banquet advances LWF’s mission by encouraging and fostering leadership in conservation and features an exciting silent auction benefiting LWF. Each honoree will receive a handsome wildlife statuette.
Recipients will be honored at a banquet held on June 9, 2023, at Ashley Manor in Baton Rouge. The event will begin with a happy hour and silent auction viewing from 6-7 PM, followed by a sit-down dinner with an awards presentation beginning at 7 PM. Tickets are $75 individually and table purchasing options are available (tables seat eight).
The following will be honored at the banquet for their conservation efforts in 2022:
Conservationist of the Year – Charles Allen
Professional Conservationist of the Year – Lisa Lewis
Volunteer Conservationist of the Year – Jane Patterson
Conservation Educator of the Year – John Dillon
Elected Official Conservationist of the Year – Jerome “Zee” Zeringue
Conservation Communicator of the Year – Kelby Ouchley
Conservation Organization of the Year – Acadiana Native Plant Project
In addition, LWF will recognize the 2019 recipients for their efforts: Volunteer Conservationist of the Year to Ryan Lambert, Conservation Educator of the Year to Wendy Rihner, Conservation Organization of the Year to Giant Salvinia Control Patrol, Youth Conservation Organization of the Year to Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Archery in Louisiana Schools (ALAS) Program, Youth Conservationist of the Year to Eric Vanbergen, Conservation Communicator of the Year to Emma Reid, and Corporate Conservationist of the Year to Edison Chouest Offshore.
