Congratulations to Larry Johns who was selected as the prize winner in LWF’s New Member Contest for 2016. He claimed his prize on December 9, 2016 at the LWF office. Of the three prizes offered, he choose the framed wildlife print “Northern Squall” 1987 Waterfowl Art Award Painting, signed by the artist, Brenda Carter, which was donated as a membership prize by Keith Saucier. The other prizes he could have selected were: a guided canoe or kayak paddle tour for two of Black Bayou National Wildlife Refuge in Monroe, led by members of Friends of Black Bayou; or a unique guided walk for two to see the National Champion bald cypress tree in Cat Island National Wildlife Refuge near St. Francisville, led by Keith Ouchley.
