Community Conversations scheduled, public invited to discuss coastal priorities with CPRA

Note: The Abbeville Community Conversation originally scheduled for Thursday, April 11 has been rescheduled to Thursday, April 25, 2024 (also note that there is a location change from original announcement).

Every six years, Louisiana’s Coastal Restoration and Protection Authority (CPRA) releases the state’s Coastal Master Plan, an expansive document that details projects and funding allocated for coastal restoration and guides coastal restoration work.

Not only is our state’s plan one of a kind (Louisiana is the only state with an agency and plan this size dedicated to coastal restoration), but it is key to the work that protects our state, including our homes, livelihoods, culture, economy and wildlife.

Louisiana’s coastal program has been very robust, with record-breaking investments in recent years. The Coastal Master Plan continues to be a strong guiding document not only because of the science-based decision-making but also because of input from a wide variety of coastal stakeholders – like you!

Before the 2029 Coastal Master Plan analyses begin, CPRA wants to hear from you! Share your ideas and highlight the coastal issues that are important to your community. Join CPRA and Restore the Mississippi Delta for a Community Conversation and have a voice in creating the most impactful Coastal Master Plan yet.

All meetings will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Dinner will be provided.
The event is free, but an RSVP is required.
