On Saturday, April 11, Louisiana Wildlife Federation hosted its 60th Annual Conservation Achievement Awards at Juban’s in Baton Rouge. It was a chance to bring together conservation leaders, public officials, and partners from across the state to recognize the people doing the work to protect Louisiana’s wildlife and natural resources.
Each year, this event highlights individuals and organizations whose efforts are making a real difference. This year, we honored 11 award recipients whose work in 2025 advanced conservation, strengthened wildlife protections, and supported environmental stewardship across Louisiana. The group included scientists, educators, policymakers, volunteers, businesses, and young leaders, all playing a role in shaping the future of our state’s outdoor heritage. The evening was a celebration, but also a reminder of what is possible when people stay engaged and committed to this work. Guests enjoyed time together over dinner and drinks, and we were especially glad to welcome the LSU Raptor Rehab team, who brought birds of prey for attendees to see up close. It was a powerful way to connect the work being recognized that night with the wildlife it is meant to protect.
After 60 years, this event continues to be one of our favorite ways to highlight the people and partnerships that make conservation in Louisiana possible.
Congratulations again to our honorees and thank you to everyone who joined us. We are especially grateful to our sponsors for helping make this evening possible:
